Our story
From the first classroom to Class XII.
Doon Public School was founded to give families in and around Begusarai a school where a child could grow from their first classroom to the Class XII board examinations, in the care of teachers who know them. It is run by the Ram Krishna Memorial Educational & Charitable Trust.
It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education up to Class XII (affiliation no. 330514) and teaches Science, Commerce and Humanities in Classes XI and XII. The youngest children begin at the KG Wing on Hemra Road; from Class I, day scholars and boarders learn side by side at the main campus, where the timetable makes room for the playing field, the stage and the laboratory as well as the classroom.

Milestones.
2013
The school opens in Ramzanpur, Begusarai, with a No Objection Certificate from the Government of Bihar.
2015
The KG Wing on Hemra Road is inaugurated by Justice Samrendra Pratap Singh on 4 April.
2018
Named Best Day Boarding School at the National School Awards.
2019
Educational Excellence Award at the National School Awards, and CBSE extends affiliation at senior secondary level, 2019 to 2024.
2024
Affiliation extended again, to March 2029. Every Class X student passes the board examination.
2026
809 students in 23 sections, with the KG Wing on Hemra Road for the youngest.

Alumni
Doon Old Students Association (DOSA)
Every student who passes out of Doon Public School is given lifelong membership of DOSA. The ₹500 membership fee is deducted from the security deposit. We want to remain in touch with our alumni always: they are invited to functions such as Annual Day.
