Young minds, powerful voices: the Inter-House Street Play Contest

Students took theatre out of the classroom, using street plays to carry messages of awareness and change.

The Inter-House Street Play Contest at Doon Public School was a celebration of creativity, confidence and powerful voices.

Through street theatre, students explored creativity, expression and meaningful communication, bringing important messages to life for an audience of their schoolmates and teachers. Each house worked as a team to write, rehearse and perform its play.

Contests like this are part of learning beyond books at Doon: they build the confidence to speak in public, the discipline of teamwork, and an awareness of the world beyond the classroom.
